#AfricasBiggestBookProject Narrator Spotlight: Adekunbi Adeoye




Adekunbi Adeoye is the Executive Director of SESEWA support services, a company she founded while still in the University in 2009. She holds an LLB from Obafemi Awolowo University. After graduating from Law School and NYSC, she set out to run SESEWA fulltime in Sep,2012.

SESEWA in Nigeria's local language, Yoruba is se ise wa, meaning is there a job? SESEWA is Nigeria's first private owned internship placement organisation. SESEWA provides young students across Nigeria and Africa with internship platforms in several industries and businesses across Nigeria.

From Sep 2012 till now, SESEWA has built a business model around internships in Nigeria, a path no one had ever taken. SESEWA has provided internships for about 300+ students, and opened her training school which has trained about 312 students till date.

SESEWA's works has risen through the years with 92% of the interns finding full time jobs with the employers they interned with.


Adekunbi has also received several awards in the past year,  which includes, Social Innovations award, LEAP Africa, Award for Exemplary Leadership by LaRoche foundation, and a honorary membership of the Texas Association Chamber of Commerce, America.
