PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Robbers Lay Siege On Mile 2 and Orile Iganmu In Lagos

Some unidentified hoodlums have continued to lay siege at Mile 2 and Orile Iganmu in Lagos to strip innocent members of the public of their valuables during traffic at night.

Recalling the bandits’ escapade, a commercial bus driver, Kolo, said the bandits stay at the side of the bridge watching would-be victims as they descend from the bridge. It was disclosed that five cases were recorded last week at Mile-Isale and that two persons narrowly escaped death in one of the incidents.
Kolo recounted that a woman was almost killed at Mile 2 when the hoodlums tried to snatch her bag. One of them opened fire on the lady and the bullet grazed the helm of her gown missing her leg.
Another witness said a man driving a Honda end of discussion was attacked at the Durbar Hotel junction area by a two-man armed robbery gang attacked. He was shot at the leg after dispossessing him of his valuables.
As at the time of this report, no reasonable arrest has been made. People are advised to be on the lookout or ply alternative route if possible especially when it's dark.
