Briefly: Travelling to the UAE Anytime Soon? You Should Read This!

The United Arab Emirates government has introduced a new law to govern and control internet users in its countries. According to the newly passed law, citizens swearing online at others could be fined Dh250, 000 and jailed while expatriates could also be deported from the UAE.

In a recent development, the Federal Supreme Court overturned two convictions of a man fined Dh3, 000 for swearing at someone on WhatsApp claiming it was too lenient and did not conform to the new legislation.
