Briefly: Maybe This Explains The 'Weirdness' of Creative People?

Research has shown that people with genetic components of creativity such as writer, actors, visual artists, dancers and musician could be suffering from psychiatric disorders.

The researchers believe that to be creative, you have to think differently - a real genetic composition of people who are predisposed to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

A study   was carried out to identify genetic variants that were linked with an increased risk of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in Iceland. The study revealed that 17 percent of the 1,000 people selected from  a population of 86,000 people from artistic professions carried those variants linked with mental health conditions than people in the general population, who worked in other occupations.

The researchers  proposed that people with psychosis are best fit for creative industry.
