Briefly: FG Orders Immediate Rescue of Nigerians in Yemen

The Federal Government, through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has commenced the evacuation of Nigerians from the Republic of Yemen following the incessant crisis that looms the country.
According to NEMA, three people have been repatriated to Nigeria while the Saudi Arabian Embassy confirmed that about 58 Nigerians were stranded in Yemen, 11 of whom will arrive Nigeria today. 
The Nigerian government, however, had difficulty in evacuating the citizens because Saudi Arabia's border had been closed due to the crisis in Yemen. Capt. Michael Igwe, representing the Head of Mission Control Centre, Sani-Sidi, assured Nigerians that Saudi Arabian government had promised to repatriate more Nigerians within the next one week.
