Briefly: Nigeria's Electricity Supply Drops By 2000MW

The Federal Government of Nigeria has revealed that there is drop of 2,000 megawatts in the national electricity grid.  That is roughly about half of the nation's total electricity supply (5,500MW). 

The poor incidence was attributed to shortage of gas supply to the thermal plants while one of the hydro stations is faced with water management issue. 

As at present, 18 out of the 23 power plants in the country are unable to generate electricity.
