Can You Think Of One Good Thing That Happened Today?

I am at that point where everything about this country has become overwhelmingly depressing. I envy Nigerians who are rarely bothered about the state of the nation. I watch the news - disaster 24/7, I go about town and see the intense struggle for survival. Other countries are as hard hit or worse off than we are. It is sad. I have become hyper-sensitive to the negativity around me and I have decided to do something about it.

Remember sunflowers? I smile when I think of them. They are generally regarded as symbols of happiness and faith. In the midst of all our protests and frustration, let us not gloss over the fact that good things still happen, are still happening in this country.

So this is what I need 'us' to do: Pause for a minute. Breathe in, breathe out. Think about the last couple of days; did anything good, interesting or funny happen to you or someone you know? Have you read anything positive about Nigeria or Nigerians anywhere recently? If you have please share.

Here is mine: Chocolate City’s Gospel music sensation NOSA has signed a contract with global brand Unilever. The multi-million Naira deal will have the Anglo–Dutch multinational consumer goods company license NOSA’s popular 'Why You Love Me' track exclusively for advertising campaigns of the Close Up brand :)
