The Gospel According To Pentatonix (PTX)

Last year I wished all my loved ones a merry Christmas with a powerful Acapella video by PTX. If you missed that video, you really should watch it; here.  I also promised to do a feature on the group and I like to keep my word so here goes:

PTX is a group of 5 young people redefining the meaning of cool with nothing but their lips and an unbelievable set of vocal cords. Based in Texas, Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola, the amazing individuals that make up the group, won the third season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2011, winning $200, 000 and a recording contract with Sony.

Here's another favourite of mine, a cover of Lorde's 'Royal.' It sounds unbelievably good. Remember to use an earpiece, it's the best way to enjoy  their music.

P.s - Just in case you missed the name, the African in the group is...you guessed right, a Nigerian. Yeah, we are cool like that :D

Enjoy.
