Have You Met Dream Maker?

The first thing I did when I got a copy of Dream Maker was promise not to allow my knowledge of the author colour my reading experience. There is a sense in which we tend to lose respect and awe for people with whom we are familiar.

And so I dug in, immediately drawn into the ancient yet modern story of the philosopher and his protégé. The story feels a thousand years old and yet feels like yesterday. It has been ages since I read anything as enthralling and soul lifting as Dream Maker. Without being preachy, it pushes you, taunt you, cajoles you, dares you, to design and own your universe.

In this age where what the media says about us is not necessarily what we are, I have stumbled on one who is what he says he is. We have a philosopher in our midst, someone who has been gifted with uncanny wisdom and the ability to impart same in the simplest of terms. As rare as eclipses and the Pinta Island tortoise, we find only a handful spread across generations.

Dream Maker sits at par with best sellers like The Alchemist, The Richest Man in Babylon, and Red, Black, White. It waits for the world to come to the realization of what it already is; Classic, Best Seller, All Time Favourite, Dream Maker!

P.s - I have found this book so profound, I've decided to include a copy in all the hampers I give to friends this christmas. Get a copy as soon as you can. You'll thank me later.
